Mr. Dale McCall - Principal
Mr. Dale McCall was hired as the Junior High Principal in January of 2024. Prior to this position, he was Assistant Principal since July 2013. He also served as the Dean of Students for seven years and as a guidance counselor for five years at the Hollidaysburg Area Junior High School. Before coming to the Hollidaysburg Area School District, he worked for one year as a guidance counselor in the Huntingdon Area School District.
Mr. McCall began his career in 1993 as a teacher in the Williamsburg Community School District, where he taught Health and Physical Education for seven years. Mr. McCall received his Master of Education in Secondary School Guidance Counseling and his Principal's Certification from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. He received his Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Lock Haven University.
Mr. McCall feels that his career has made a natural progression from each role/position he has held. He enjoys working with the students and parents in the Hollidaysburg Area School District and hopes to make a significant and positive contribution to the school district in the years to come.
Ms. Jennifer McConnell - Assistant Principal
Ms. McConnell was hired to be the assistant principal in March 2024. Prior to that, she served as the superintendent at Great Commission School since 2017. She also taught Health and Physical Education as well as Spanish at GCS since 2014. Ms. McConnell had a short stint as the PE teacher at Longer Elementary in 2017. Outside of the classroom, Ms. McConnell was the previous Junior High girls soccer coach from 2011 to 2014. She also has served as the assistant coach for Varsity Girls Track and Field where she specializes in the throwing events for both boys and girls.
Ms. McConnell graduated from New Mexico State University with a Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education. She followed up her education at Wilson College where she obtained her Master's degree in Education and just recently, she completed the Superintendent Letter of Eligibility program at Point Park University
Mr. Michael Harris - Dean of Students
Before becoming the Dean of Students in January 2022, Mr. Harris was a classroom teacher for twenty-eight years. As a member of the social studies department, he taught 8th grade geography, 8th grade history, 9th grade civics, and recently 8th and 9th grade Tiger TV. Mr. Harris also coached various sports throughout his tenure. Mr. Harris received a journalism degree in 1989 and his teaching degree in 1993, both from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.
