Kenneth Krott JH Principal

Mr. Kenneth Krott - Principal

Mr. Kenneth Krott joined the Hollidaysburg Area School District in 2021. He began his career in education as a Mathematics teacher and Instructional Technology Coach at the Altoona Area Junior High School. In 2017, he became the Director of Technology for the Central Cambria School District, a position he held for three years. Prior to becoming the Junior High Principal, he served as the Principal at Pleasant Valley Elementary School in Altoona. Mr. Krott is a graduate of The Pennsylvania State University and received his Master's degree from Montclair State University. He received his Administrative Certification from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Before his career in education, Mr. Krott worked in the casting and production departments of two television series.

Mr. Krott is excited and honored to be a part of the Hollidaysburg Area School District and is looking forward to developing positive relationships with students, staff and the community. He and his wife, Melissa, are the proud parents of two children.

Mr. Dale McCall - Assistant Principal

Mr. Dale McCall was hired as the Junior High Assistant Principal in July 2013. Prior to this position, he served as the Dean of Students for seven years and as a guidance counselor for five years at the Hollidaysburg Area Junior High School. Before coming to the Hollidaysburg Area School District, he worked for one year as a guidance counselor in the Huntingdon Area School District.

Mr. McCall began his career in 1993 as a teacher in the Williamsburg Community School District, where he taught Health and Physical Education for seven years. Mr. McCall received his Master of Education in Secondary School Guidance Counseling and his Principal's Certification from the Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  He received his Bachelor of Science in Health and Physical Education from Lock Haven University.

Mr. McCall feels that his career has made a natural progression from each role/position he has held.  He enjoys working with the students and parents in the Hollidaysburg Area School District and hopes to make a significant and positive contribution to the school district in the years to come. 

 

Mr. Michael Harris - Dean of Students

Before becoming the Dean of Students in January 2022, Mr. Harris was a classroom teacher for twenty-eight years.  As a member of the social studies department, he taught 8th grade geography, 8th grade history, 9th grade civics, and recently 8th and 9th grade Tiger TV.  Mr. Harris also coached various sports throughout his tenure.  Mr. Harris received a journalism degree in 1989 and his teaching degree in 1993, both from Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  

The Dean of Students' office works to support our students, staff and school community in a positive way.
